徐鑫 Xu Xin

Leo has been working as an international lawyer with the firm since 2009 and he is also a registered Canadian Trade-mark Agent and the person who assists with China matters at our law firm. Leo has rich experience in IP (trademark, copyright, industrial design etc.) protection in both Canada and China. He also has assisted a number of North American and European clients with technology licensing, distribution and franchising in both Canada and China.
He has law degrees from both China and Canada. Before coming to Canada, he obtained dual Bachelor Degrees (Journalism and Law) and a Master Degree in law from the Southwest University of Political Science and Law (西南政法大学). His thesis focused on Chinese intellectual property law and international trade law.
He came to Canada in July 2008 to pursue his second Master Degree in law at Osgoode Hall Law School, York University. His course areas were business law and international tax law. He worked as a research assistant for Professor (and Interim Dean) Jinyan Li of Osgoode Hall Law School while studying for his LLM. He obtained his second Master Degree in international business law from Osgoode in October 2009 and the third LLM degree in Canadian common law from Osgoode in August 2017. Mr. Xu is a Trade-mark Agent in Canada.
Mr. Xu speaks Mandarin Chinese and English.
Mr. Xu was admitted both to the Chinese Bar and Ontario (Canada) Bar.
